Fiddler's Relay!

First Annual 24 hour fiddle jam marathon to fight cancer!

When: Saturday May 5th, 2007 starting at 10:00am and going until 10:00am Sunday morning.

Where: Whitefield Elementary School gym, Rte 126 North Whitefield, ME

The jam relay is organized just like a walk-a-thon to raise money. Participants will take pledges to fiddle instead of walking. All acoustic instruments are welcome. We need plenty of rhythm and back up along with the fiddles. The event is open to the public so there will be an audience and donations will also be accepted at the door.

We are asking for one member of each fiddle group in the state to become a "team member" of the United Maine Fiddlers. As a member you will be responsible for organizing your group's fund raising by finding sponsors, getting pledges and also helping fill out the jam roster to insure we have enough coverage to fiddle for 24 hours.

Maine Fiddlers have always stepped in to lend a hand when needed and now is the time to get organized and really make a differnece in the fight against cancer.
