Reel Issoudun
This is a crooked French-Canadian tune that we first learned last summer 2006 at Maine Fiddle Camp from Guy Bouchard. It's fun to play, though not well suited for a contradance because of the irregular pattern. Still, it's a nice tune that can be played for step dancing, or as part of a non-dancing music program.
This tune can be found in Air Tordus, 25 Crooked Tunes, compiled by Liette Remon & Guy Bouchard. The book can be ordered at Thirty Below.
